Area of Benefit
The Community Foundation is designed for the benefit of communities living
within 10 miles, as the crow flies, (excluding Worcester City) of any part of
the Malvern Hills, under the control of the Malvern Hills Conservators.
Good Governance
The Community Foundation is a registered Charity (with the Charity Commission)
and is also a registered Company Limited by Guarantee (with Companies House).
This means that annual activity and financial returns must be made to both the
Charity Commission and Companies House.

Upton upon Severn and Great Malvern in order to acquire a balanced
representation from across the area of benefit.

Community Foundation is a Registered Charity No. 1115074, and a Company
Registered In England and Wales No. 5553740.
The Objects of the Community Foundation
The objects have been designed to be as wide and as flexible as possible in
order that the Trustees have the greatest freedom to make charitable decisions
that assist individuals in need, and groups and communities representing
individuals in need.
A selection of the objects include :

helping those in
necessitous circumstances for whatever reason

facilities that promote welfare
and/or well-being and/or quality of life of persons

protection of the
environment; providing community facilities

restoring historic buildings and/or
churches and/or buildings for religious worship, or of public importance and/or
in public use

advancing education for people of all ages

relieving those in
need where the need results from poverty, disability, old age, ill health,
infirmity, or social or economic circumstances

promoting physical, mental and
spiritual well-being

providing research for the public benefit

promoting urban
and/or rural regeneration for public benefit in areas of social and/or economic
deprivation

helping people with disabilities secure access to facilities and/or
services generally available to the public, and ...

any other charitable purpose.
